Crewe first-team coach Steve Holland believes his team can be the surprise package in League One this season.

The Alex are among the favourites for relegation after finishing just one place above the drop-zone last year.

But after adding six new players to his squad during the summer, Holland is convinced the Alex have improved.

"There's been a bit of a turnaround player wise, but there's a quiet sense of optimism that we can surprise a few people," he told BBC Radio Stoke.
