Striker Roy O'Donovan scored his third goal in two games as Coventry City won 3-0 at Hinckley United.

O'Donovan netted in the first half of Wednesday night's friendly, adding to the two chalked up against Nuneaton.

Both managers made wholesale changes to personnel at half-time, with City defender James McPake given a run out following his return from injury.

Freddy Eastwood doubled the Sky Blues' lead before midfielder Connor Thomas added a third.

Coventry boss Andy Thorn was pleased with the performance of his players.

Thorn told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "These games aren't just about winning.

"Don't get me wrong, it's nice because we all like to win but it was about polishing up what we do and taking it onto the next level. We blew the cobwebs away from Saturday.

"In the first half, I thought we were terrific - really professional - and went about our job in the right way.

"Second half, we changed it a bit and I thought we were really slow to get going.

"But then again we went with three centre-halves, a five and two boys up front and just tried something different."
