Southend loanee Pat Baldwin doubts future at Colchester
Baldwin joined Colchester from Chelsea in 2002
Southend loan defender Pat Baldwin says he has been told he has "practically" no future at Colchester United.
Baldwin, 27, signed a three-year deal last summer but has struggled to make the first team this season.
The centre-back is currently on-loan at Roots Hall from the U's until the end of the season.
"I've been told I practically haven't got one (a future), so we'll just have to wait and see what happens in the summer," Baldwin told BBC Essex.
"I'm just going to play as best I can and be 100 per cent committed to this football club, to keep them in this division, and wait until the summer to see about my future," he added.
Baldwin, who was on-loan at Bristol Rovers earlier this season, has played seven games for Southend, scoring on his debut against Swindon.
