Colchester United striker Clive Platt says he was honoured to have captained the side in Saturday's League One defeat at Bristol Rovers.
Platt stood in for defender Magnus Okounghae who missed the match because of a shoulder injury.
The 32-year-old told BBC Essex: "It's obviously a great feeling to wear the skipper's armband at any point.
"I've had it a couple of times now. It's a great honour and hopefully I can get it again some time."
Platt, who joined the League One promotion chasers from MK Dons in 2007, has scored seven times for Colchester this season.
