Colchester United defender Matt Lockwood has been told he will not be offered a new contract when his current deal finishes at the end of the season.
Full-back Lockwood, 33, has started just seven games since joining the League One side in June 2008.
He recently returned from a one-month loan spell at Dagenham & Redbridge and spent the end of last season at Barnet.
Lockwood has only made one start for the U's since Aidy Boothroyd took over as manager in September.
