Lambert has guided the U's into a mid-table position
Colchester United manager Paul Lambert says he knows who he wants to bring into the club and also who is likely to leave in January.
Lambert currently has three players signed on loan contracts, but is looking to make further squad changes.
He told BBC Essex: "I've got a rough idea of what I want.
"If we can get people to give us a hand then great, but the club's got a lot of players as well and it's up to me to rectify it."
Lambert added: "It's up to myself to get players in to this football club who I think will do well for us and get players in who will help the current ones.
"Some lads will leave the football club and new ones will come in," he continued.
"But at this moment in time it's the same group of lads that were maybe under-performing under the last manager, allied to one or two who I've brought in, have moved up to 16th [in the league]."
Lambert currently has striker Jermaine Easter, goalkeeper Jimmy Walker and defender Marc Tierney on loan with the U's.
