Walker spent 11 years with Walsall before joining West Ham

Colchester United have signed West Ham goalkeeper Jimmy Walker and Shrewsbury left-back Marc Tierney on loan deals.

Walker, 35, will be with the U's until the end of December, having made just 20 appearances for the Hammers since joining from Walsall in 2004.

Tierney, 23, who has joined the U's on a five-week deal, has played over 90 times for the Shropshire club and been an ever-present this season.

Both players could feature in the U's game at Northampton on Saturday.
