The U's have won once and lost twice since Symons took charge
Colchester United caretaker boss Kit Symons has called on his side to dig deep to turn their season around.
The U's are now 20th in League One and are yet to win at their new Community Stadium, following a 1-0 defeat at home to Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Following the match Symons told BBC Essex: "We can bemoan our missed chances and our bad luck.
"But also we as a group have got to get ourselves out of it and go and get that elusive first win at home."
Symons, who has overseen one win and two defeats since taking over from Geraint Williams, added he felt his side were lacking in self-belief at the moment.
"There's not an awful lot wrong and we're not a million miles away but we're not quite there either.
"Until we are quite there we'll continually struggle to break teams down and score goals at home.
"That little bit of belief, that little bit of creativity and guile makes all the difference at this level."
