Till has made 80 appearances for the Mariners

Grimsby midfielder Peter Till has joined Chesterfield on an initial one-month loan deal.

The 23-year-old has made 80 appearances and scored four league goals for the Mariners since arriving at Blundell Park in November 2006.

Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson told the club website: "He has pace and can play out wide and these are valuable attributes to the team."

Till goes straight into the Spireites' squad to face Chester on Saturday.

The former Birmingham City trainee signed his first professional deal with the Blues in 2005.

Till, who can play wide or down the middle, has also had loan spells at Scunthorpe, Boston and Leyton Orient.

The Spireites are 13th in League Two with 28 points.
