Mick Wadsworth hopes to get a squad together before the start of the season
Chester City owner Stephen Vaughan believes new manager Mick Wadsworth will be the man to lead the club back into the Football League.
Wadsworth was unveiled as City's new boss on Monday and Vaughan says the 58-year-old is the right man for the job.
"Hopefully this is the last piece of the jigsaw now," Vaughan told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"Having spoken to Mick and the other applicants he stood out by a mile. We've certainly got the right manager."
We feel if we get the right squad together and the right attitude in that squad - we'll chase that fifth play-off spot

Wadsworth, who succeeds Mark Wright, has become the ninth manager appointed by Vaughan since he took charge of the club in October 2001.
But the Deva owner now feels they must seize the chance of much-needed stability - at the outset of what he hopes is a successful period for Chester.
"This club needed a change," said Vaughan. "It's been up and down over the years.
"But we feel if we get the right squad together and the right attitude in that squad - we'll chase that fifth play-off spot.
"He's going to start on minus 10 points, so he's four games behind everybody and he's got to claw that back. But we feel it's realistic to chase fifth spot.
"Everybody knows the state the club's in at the minute.
"It's now in a good financial position.
"Hopefully if we can keep it that way and get the right squad together and keep the tax man away from the door - we can be ok."
