Lars Jacobsen has not has his Everton contract renewed

Blackburn have signed Danish right-back Lars Jacobsen, 29, on a two-year deal.

Jacobsen spent last season at Everton but an injured shoulder meant he did not make his League debut until March and only appeared six times in all.

He came on as a substitute in Everton's FA Cup Final defeat but his contract at Goodison Park was not renewed.

At Ewood Park, he will fill the gap left by the departure of Andre Ooijer to PSV Eindhoven and Danny Simpson, who was on loan from Manchester United.
