Ryan Lowe has been linked with his former club Crewe Alexandra
Chester striker Ryan Lowe has said he will consider moving on only if it is in the best interests of the club.
Lowe told BBC Radio Merseyside: "The club have said before that, if a big offer comes in, they may accept it.
"Whatever the manager and the Chester board want to do I'm quite happy with. But it would have to be to a bigger club otherwise I wouldn't go."
Former Shrewsbury and Crewe front man Lowe, 30, is City's top scorer this season with 13 goals in 28 appearances.
Lowe, who is now in his second spell with Chester, maintains that he is happy to stay with Mark Wright's men and finds the speculation a distraction.
I love the place. Everyone knows that. That's why I signed a three-year contract so I'm here until I hear different

"It is a bit annoying and the quicker February comes the better," he said.
"I love the place, everyone knows that. That's one of the reasons I came back as I could have gone to other clubs in League One and League Two.
"I decided to come back here. That's why I signed a three-year contract so I'm here until I hear different."
Chester's position is complicated by their worrying off-field position.
Gates have averaged just over 1900 this season at the Deva Stadium, a factor in owner Stephen Vaughan putting the club up for sale in November. And they are not helped by the transfer embargo still hanging over the club as a result of last season's fall-out with their two most senior pros Paul Butler and Tony Dinning.
But City's 3-1 defeat by Chesterfield on Saturday was only their second loss in six games - at a time when Wright's return for a third spell as boss has helped stifle the off-field gloom.
Like Wright, Lowe was disappointed with the nature of the Chesterfield goals.
"The gaffer has complained about the goals," added Lowe. "They were scrappy goals, giveaways really. And I think we deserved something better then that out of the game."
