Gosling joined Everton from Plymouth for 1.5m just over a year ago
Everton midfielder Leon Osman believes team-mate Dan Gosling has written himself into Goodison folklore with his winning strike against Liverpool.
The 19-year-old substitute scored two minutes from the end of extra-time to secure a 1-0 win over their rivals in Wednesday's FA Cup fourth-round replay.
Osman told BBC Radio Merseyside: "It's what dreams are made of for a young kid, making his derby debut.
"This will probably go down as the Gosling derby, it's fantastic for him."
Osman believes it is now up to the more experienced members of David Moyes' squad to keep Gosling's feet on the ground.
We are battling when we have to, to win games and we're playing some good football at times to win games

"We have to try and make sure he doesn't get carried away by this (but), we've won the game so we're delighted for him," he added.
Osman believes the Blues' recent good run of form, which has included a draw with Arsenal and beating Liverpool could set Everton up for the end of season run-in.
"We've played all of the big boys and come out of it reasonably well so we'll take a lot of confidence from that.
"We are battling when we have to, to win games and we're playing some good football at times to win games.
"It's good that we can win by either means," said Osman.
