Josh Low detects 'Spanish influence' at Cheltenham
Low has scored two goals this season against Burton and Bradford
Cheltenham Town midfielder Josh Low says the passing philosophy of some of the world's best teams is influencing the way the Robins are trying to play.
Low told BBC Gloucestershire: "With the World Cup and the way Spain played, I think more of that is coming into the lower leagues and we're reflecting it.
"The gaffer wants us to play, we're having a really good go and you stick with it when it's working," added Low.
Cheltenham have lost only once, away at Bradford, in their last eight games.
The Robins emerged from a relegation battle last season and are currently 11th in League Two, just two points off a play-off place.
Low, who is 31, was signed by Keith Downing in August 2008. Within a month, Downing had left, and Mark Yates is now the third manager he has played under at Cheltenham after a difficult time under Martin Allen.
"This is the most enjoyable football I've played at the club" said Low.
"In the last two years we've had tough games where we've been under a lot of pressure at the wrong end of the league.
"On our day, we can beat anyone in this league and we have to make sure that we have that day more often than not."
