Cheltenham Town striker Jeff Goulding hungry for games

Cheltenham Town striker Jeff Goulding believes the club can achieve something this season because so many players have a point to prove.

The 26-year-old scored the winner in Saturday's 3-2 victory against Crewe.

He told BBC Gloucestershire: "I didn't play a lot at Bournemouth last year and that's made me hungry.

"I think that goes for everyone else here. We know what it's like to sit on the bench or not be playing and I think we can achieve something this season."

The striker is enjoying resuming the partnership he had with fellow foward Wesley Thomas in non-league football.

"I'm more than happy to lay things on because Wes will take up the opportunities," said Goulding.

"I do like to assist but I am a striker and I want to score goals. We believe in each other and we have a lot of good players who like to pass the ball.

"We play some really nice stuff, but through a season we're not going to be able to do that all the time. We'll have to rough it up a bit and I'm sure you'll see that side of us."
