Cheltenham boss Martin Allen has dipped into the loan market to bring in Bristol City midfielder Frankie Artus.
Town, who are bottom of League One, are struggling with a lengthy injury list and 20-year-old Artus is set to figure in Tuesday's match against Oldham.
Artus, who came through the ranks at Ashton Gate, has already been on loan at Brentford and Kettering this term.
"He's a good passer. I saw him at Brentford. He was absolutely superb," Allen told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:
"I've kept an eye on him ever since. Gary Johnson's done us a favour to let us have him and we're hardly paying anything for him."
