Parkinson has hinted more players could leave The Valley

Charlton have released six players, including strikers Chris Dickson and Leon McKenzie.

Also leaving The Valley are midfielders Matt Spring and Dean Sinclair, goalkeeper Tony Warner and left-back Jack Clark.

Manager Phil Parkinson has hinted more players could be leaving.

He told the club website: "Over the next 10 days the board will discuss budgets and those players whose contracts are coming to an end."

Dickson, 26, joined Charlton in March 2007 but spent most of his tenure on loan at Crewe, Bristol Rovers and Gillingham, where he found impressive form scoring 11 goals in 14 games in his first spell at Priestfield.

But the forward failed to impress in his second spell with the Gills and was told he would not be offered a permanent deal.

Striker McKenzie joined Charlton in August 2009 from Coventry City but the 32-year-old was dogged by injuries and was used only as a substitute, making 14 appearances from the bench.

Former manager Alan Pardew paid Barnet a £125,000 development fee for 25-year-old Sinclair but he was later loaned to Grimsby Town after making just two Charlton appearances.

Former Millwall and Hull keeper Warner, 36, signed a two-month contract in March following injury to then first choice Rob Elliott. He was named among the substitutes on five occasions but never made his starting debut.

Spring, 30, joined the Addicks in January 2009 and made 15 appearances for the club while home-grown left-back Clark failed to break into the first team.
