Charlton Athletic have signed striker Akpo Sodje on loan from Sheffield Wednesday with a view to making the move permanent.
The 28-year-old signed in time to play in Saturday's game against MK Dons.
Sodje is the younger brother of Addicks defender Sam and has joined Charlton for an initial 28 days.
He started his career at QPR and had spells with Huddersfield, Darlington and Port Vale before scoring nine times in 41 appearances for the Owls.
Charlton boss Phil Parkinson told the club website: "Akpo's contract is up in the summer so it's a chance for us to look at him and him to look at us.
"He gives us a physical presence up front and, as everyone knows given the recent injuries, we're short in that department.
"Akpo can help us through the next important period."
