Charlton moved to within four points of league leaders Leeds with a resounding win over fellow challengers MK Dons.
It was the visitors who opened the scoring against the run of play via a superb volley from Aaron Wilbraham.
David Mooney's finish following a goalmouth scramble drew Charlton level before Nicky Bailey nodded them ahead.
A 15-yard Lloyd Sam strike and Sam Sodje's header put the result beyond doubt before Deon Burton added the gloss finish with a lobbed fifth goal.
MK Dons boss Paul Ince told BBC Three Counties Radio:
"We played ever so well in the first half, we were different class. The fact that the referee has not made the right decisions at the right time has actually changed the course of the game.
"There were two penalty decisions we should have had, one where the lad could be sent off because he stopped our shot going in and the second where Christian Dailly handled it like a basketball tip-off.
"I'm annoyed because we all make mistakes, players, managers, we all make mistakes. But if you can't see that and the referee can't make those decisions, then he shouldn't be refereeing."
