Carlisle have signed Rangers striker Rory Loy for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old, whose contract at Ibrox was going to expire in the summer, has had loan spells at Dunfermline and St Mirren.
He scored against Carlisle in a behind-closed-doors friendly this month and boss Greg Abbott said: "He has been training with us since Monday.
"He has fitted in really well. We think he is exactly the kind of player we want to bring to the club."
Loy began his career with Kilmarnock before moving to Ibrox in 2006 and has played for Scotland Under-21s.
"We have a good relationship with Rangers and we have been able to keep an eye on Rory for a while," Abbott said.
Loy's arrival follows the capture earlier this week of Manchester United defender Joe Dudgeon on loan until the end of the season.
He cannot make his debut against Oldham on Saturday as he is awaiting international clearance.
