Carlisle United have received international clearance for midfielder Marc-Antoine Gbarssin following his New Year's Day switch to Brunton Park.

The 26-year-old joined the Cumbrians following his release by Danish club FC Fredericia and is now eligible to feature in boss Greg Abbott's squad.

"He's one that we really enjoy working with," Abbott told the club website.

"We can now all concentrate on the work that he has to do to get himself in and around the first team."

Gbarssin began his career at Bordeaux and also lists Grenoble, Royal Antwerp, SK Lombeek and RE Virton among his former clubs.
