Leeds goalkeeper Martin to return after Barrow stint
Martin also spent a loan spell at Motherwell in 2007
Barrow joint-manager Dave Bayliss has confirmed Leeds United goalkeeper Alan Martin will not return to Holker Street for a further loan spell.
Martin, 22, made the final appearance of a five-month loan spell in Monday's 3-1 defeat by Darlington.
"We've got other plans, we can't afford to keep Alan, simple as that," Bayliss told BBC Radio Cumbria.
The Scotland under-21 international is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Elland Road club.
Meanwhile Bayliss has hinted that he and joint-boss Darren Sheridan are desperate to add to their squad during the January transfer window, particularly with Sheridan, Robin Hulbert and Nick Chadwick all unavailable through suspension.
"Look at the bench we have, we look around to try to change things, but who do we have? Myself, Shaun Pearson, Paul Jones and Ciaran Donnelly, that's what we're stuck with," Bayliss added.
"With the suspensions we've got, maybe we'll be able to bring another player because we are struggling for players.
"Andrew Milne has left the club, Andy Nicholas is a centre-half at Vauxhall, they're not going to come on and change the game, so we just have to wait and see."
