Leeds forward Grella unsure over Carlisle United stay
Grella joined Leeds in February 2009
On-loan Carlisle United striker Mike Grella has admitted he is uncertain as to where he will be playing his football in January.
The 23-year-old's loan spell from Leeds United is due to expire on 3 January.
"I'm just going to play the games and football usually takes care of itself," Grella told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"You never know... as soon as I hear from Leeds and hear from my agent and talk to Carlisle then we'll see where it moves from there."
New York-born Grella has impressed at Brunton Park, scoring three times in six starts for the League One side.
"I've definitely enjoyed it," said Grella. "At first I just wanted to play games and was not concerned about anything else but I've found a great group of guys, great staff and great management.
"I haven't heard anything from Leeds but my gut feeling would be that they would want me to stay out somewhere and get games in.
"I'd be happy to come back but football changes quickly."
Grella has been unable to force his way into Simon Grayson's first-team plans at Elland Road so far this season, making just two appearances before joining the Cumbrians in October.
"If Leeds want me back then I'd like to go back to Leeds, if that's not the case then I'd like to stay in Carlisle," added Grella.
"There's no question I've enjoyed myself here but in football things change quickly so we'll see when 3 January comes around and take it from there."
