Winger Joe Anyinsah explains Carlisle United exit

Carlisle United winger Joe Anyinsah has revealed his decision to quit the club this summer has been driven by a desire to move closer to his home in Bristol.

Anyinsah, 25, has been with Carlisle since January 2009 but feels the time is right to move back south despite enjoying life at Brunton Park.

"I've enjoyed my 18 months but it's been about five years since I've lived down south," he told BBC Radio Cumbria.

"It was difficult moving away from home and my mind's made up now."

Anyinsah, who began his career with hometown club Bristol City, made 59 appearances in all competitions for Carlisle, scoring 15 goals.

His contract ends this summer but the winger has revealed he is yet to receive interest from other clubs.
