Carlisle defender Richard Keogh hails spirit in squad
Keogh joined Carlisle from Bristol City in August 2008
Carlisle United defender Richard Keogh has hailed the togetherness within the squad at Brunton Park after Saturday's 5-0 thrashing of MK Dons.
The win comes days after United booked a Wembley place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and Keogh admitted the players are buoyant at present.
"Everyone's working hard for each other - we want to play for each other" Keogh told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"We're confident, so we can hopefully keep moving up the league."
Carlisle have suffered just one defeat in seven League One games.
And despite the excitement of a Wembley final, the former Bristol City centre-back is adamant that focus will be maintained on securing as high a league position as they can.
"We've got Wembley to look forward to now but it's not anytime soon so we've got to get our heads down and win the games in the league and look forward to those games when it gets a bit closer.
"But for the time being the league's the one we want and we've got to keep going."
Keogh, a former Republic of Ireland under-21 international, joined Carlisle from Bristol City in August 2008 after a three-year spell at Ashton Gate.
