Striker Kevin Gall has returned to Carlisle after his one-month loan spell at Port Vale, reports BBC Radio Stoke.
The 27-year-old arrived at Vale Park in February, and made seven appearances for the Valiants.
Vale boss Dean Glover was thought to want to keep the former Yeovil man, and it is not clear whether it is an injury that is forcing him to return.
The Welshman failed to score during his spell at the Vale and has not scored a competitive goal in over 18 months.
