Aldershot's winless run continued after they were fortunate to earn a point away to Port Vale.
Visiting goalkeeper Nikki Bull ensured his side were on level terms at half time, twice denying Louis Dodds with excellent saves.
Vale hit the crossbar in the second half when Paul Marshall's shot crashed against the crossbar.
And Dodds almost won it for the home side on 82 minutes, but his header flew inches wide of Bull's left-hand post.
