Marriott has made 13 appearances this season, 11 from the bench

Cambridge United's injury concerns have deepened with the news striker Adam Marriott will be out for several weeks.

The 19-year-old academy product damaged ankle ligaments in Tuesday's 2-0 defeat by Hayes & Yeading.

He joins midfielders Conal Platt and Adam Miller, striker Liam Hughes and defenders Kevin Roberts, Josh Coulson and Daryl Coakley on the injured list.

Miller, 28, is expected to be out for the majority of the season after undergoing surgery on an ankle.

Boss Martin Ling was forced to field a number of youngsters in his squad against Hayes & Yeading as the U's suffered their fourth consecutive league defeat.
