Miller has had loan spells at Peterborough and Dagenham
Cambridge United midfielder Adam Miller believes he has done enough to warrant a place in Martin Ling's first 11.
The 28-year-old, who joined from Gillingham in pre-season, is certain he should start Saturday's Blue Square Bet Premier opener at Wrexham.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I'm very confident of starting. I think I've done enough in the run-in.
"But if I'm not the gaffer will get no problems from me, I'll just work even harder in training."
The former Stevenage man hopes to make an instant impact at the Abbey, but first of all has to make the long trip to Wales.
I haven't been there for a few years but everyone tells me it's a shocking pitch
Cambridge United midfielder Adam Miller on Wrexham
"Wrexham's not the nicest of places to go to in terms of the pitch," he said.
"I haven't been there for a few years but everyone tells me it's a shocking pitch.
"It gets it out of the way though and there's going to be points in this league where you have to battle it out and if we have to do that at Wrexham the boys are more than capable of doing that."
