Cambridge duo Danny Crow and Dan Gleeson set for Luton

Cambridge United

Luton Town are in talks to sign Danny Crow and Dan Gleeson from Blue Square Premier rivals Cambridge United, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire understands.

Both players are out of contract at the Abbey, but have been offered new deals.

They are set to link up with former U's boss Gary Brabin, who was appointed as Luton assistant manager on Tuesday.

U's manager Martin Ling told the club website: "Dan Gleeson is in talks with another club and I fully expect him to be leaving the Abbey."

Ling is yet to confirm that Crow will be leaving the Abbey, but conceded that the 24-year-old is now unlikely stay.

"Danny hasn't come back to me about our offer, but I had heard there were also a couple of League One clubs interested in him as well," he told the Cambridge News.

"I'm personally expecting to lose him, but I'm not putting a downer on it if he chooses to go."
