Cambridge United boss Gary Brabin has been named as Blue Square Premier manager of the month for February.

The U's claimed 13 points from a possible 15 points to move up to third in the table.

Prior to the start of February, Brabin's side had failed to win away from the Abbey since August.

A last gasp 2-1 win over Rushden & Diamonds at Nene Park was followed by away successes at Kidderminster, Lewes and Grays Athletic.

In the Blue Square South, Alan Devonshire of Hampton & Richmond Borough picked up the award for five wins in five during the month.

Micky Mellon of Fleetwood Town took the title Blue Square North with three home wins and a draw.
