Quinn has extended his time with Cambridge by signing a new deal |
Cambridge United boss Jimmy Quinn has signed a new contract which will keep him at the club until 2010. Quinn had been recently linked with a number of club including Gillingham and Port vale.
"I'm delighted that the board have faith in me to take the club through the next two and half years," Quinn told Cambridge's website.
Assistant boss Alan Lewer, who joined the U's in May, has signed a similar new deal to Quinn.
Quinn was appointed by Cambridge in September 2006 on a two-year-deal as the replacement for Rob Newman.
Quinn added: "I feel I have a responsibility here to the players that I've brought in.
"The speculation has filtered down to the players because my name has been mentioned in connection with a few teams, so hopefully this will settle everybody down and we can get on with the job."
Quinn has previously managed Reading, Swindon, Northwich, Shrewsbury and Norwegian side Egersund IK
