Bury defender David Buchanan promises the team will not succumb to nerves in the League Two run-in after extending their unbeaten run to nine matches.
Bury drew 2-2 at Darlington on Monday and trail third-placed Wycombe on goal difference with three games left.
Buchanan told BBC Radio Manchester: "We've still got a good chance of going up automatically - why not play for it?
"Let's have a go. There's no nerves. These times are exciting times. These are where you want to be as a player."
He added: "It's nervous when you're playing like Grimsby and Chester - no disrespect to those teams - because you're fighting for the history of the club. For us, these times are exciting times.
"It's exciting to be involved in the run-in and hopefully we can just keep going the way we are and get over the finishing line."
