Bury's automatic promotion hopes were checked as injury-hit Darlington twice came from behind to salvage a point.

Glynn Hurst's effort took a big deflection off Ian Miller to put Bury ahead but Jason Kennedy headed home Franz Burgmeier's cross to equalise.

Pawel Abbott tested Bury keeper Wayne Brown with long-range shots but the visitors were ahead again as unmarked Efe Sodje fired in from a corner.

He had a header saved before Abbott scooped home at the second attempt.
