Andy Morrell has said he wants Bury fans to value his all-round game, not just his goalscoring.
The ex-Coventry and Blackpool striker had endured a four-month goal drought before grabbing the winner in the 2-1 victory against Aldershot.
He told BBC Radio Manchester: "I'm hoping I'm not just a goalscorer here. I try to do a lot for the team.
"I work quite hard and I do defensive jobs for the team when we haven't got the ball."
He added: "I do quite a lot of hard work off the ball too. So hopefully the fans will see that when I am not scoring goals.
"But I was brought here to score goals and to help Bish (Andy Bishop) and Hursty (Glynn Hurst) out and get us up and out of this division.
"It's taken a while for me to get back on the scoresheet but now I've managed to nick one and hopefully that'll help take us on a run."
