Allison leaves Shakers position

Bury

Former Bristol City and Tranmere striker Wayne Allison has left his voluntary coaching position at Bury.

The 40-year-old ex-Chesterfield man joined the Shakers backroom staff after assistant manager Chris Wilder was named Oxford United boss in December.

Allison was Chester assistant from August until November last year, when Mark Wright was named manager.

Bury manager Alan Knill told the club website: "It didn't quite work out as we had hoped."
