Casper will stay on at Bury |
Manager Chris Casper has signed a new contract with Bury which will keep him at the club until the end of 2009. Casper had offered to resign after the club's expulsion from the FA Cup but the League Two side offered him the extended deal at the end of December.
At 30 he became one of the youngest managers in league history after being appointed Bury boss in October 2005.
He took over as Shakers caretaker manager in September 2005 after Graham Barrow was sacked.
Casper told the club website: "I would like to thank the directors and for their support over a difficult couple of months.
"There is nobody more disappointed than me that we are in the position that we're in, but with the support of everybody we can move forward."
