Rodriguez also scored for Burnley reserves on Wednesday (PIC: Burnley FC)
Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez believes he can continue to benefit from the "education" he is receiving from manager Owen Coyle.
The 19-year-old, who scored his first goal for the club in the midweek Carling Cup victory over Fulham, has played with Coyle in the reserves.
"He is a forward and you can learn a lot from the experience he's had," Rodriguez told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"I just want to keep playing and keep scoring, hopefully."
And Coyle was keen to praise the youngster.
"For a young kid to come on and show the level of composure, to shape and to shoot and turn round and sell the goalkeeper with a dummy and roll it into the net, then it must be a great feeling for him.
"I'm delighted for him because he's worked so hard and earned his chance, and he's deserving of it."
