Striker Paul Heffernan keen to stay at Bristol Rovers
Heffernan played for Bristol City in 2004/05, scoring seven times
Bristol Rovers' on-loan striker Paul Heffernan says he is very keen to remain at the Memorial Stadium beyond his initial one-month deal.
The 28-year-old is due to return to Doncaster Rovers after Rovers' game against Swindon on Saturday.
"I'm happy down here and would like to stay on and get some more games," Heffernan told BBC Radio Bristol.
The Irishman has scored just once for Rovers in five games in the 2-1 home win against Charlton.
"As a striker you can have a great game but if you're not on the scoresheet people think you're not doing well," said Heffernan.

"Obviously I'd like a few more goals and a few more chances but you can't have everything.
"We're creating enough chances so hopefully I'll get my fair share in the coming games."
Paul Trollope's side beat Swindon 3-0 at home when the the two sides met in December but it is the Robins who have fared better sitting in fifth spot, 12 points above Rovers.
"Danny Wilson's done a fantastic job. He's brought in a couple of lads I know and they've had a great season," added Heffernan.
"But we've picked up a couple of wins so we'll be going up there full of confidence, looking to pick up three points."
