Dominic Blizzard 'frustrated' on Bristol Rovers bench

Dominic Blizzard
Blizzard has just made seven league starts for the Pirates.

Bristol Rovers midfielder Dominic Blizzard has spoken of his frustration at being left out of the side.

Blizzard, who has made just seven league starts this season, hopes to get the nod against Walsall this weekend if Chris Lines remains injured.

"My biggest problem is frustration. It's probably been the most frustrating time of my life," Blizzard told BBC Radio Bristol.

"I'm being played wide, so I'm not really feeling at home."

He added: "I don't struggle with belief, but it's just been frustrating."

Lines injured his hip 33 minutes into Tuesday's 5-0 defeat at Leyton Orient and is unlikely to start on Saturday.

"If the opportunity is there we'll see what happens," Blizzard said.

Rovers haven't won an away game since September and currently lie 9th in League One, eight points adrift of the play-off places.

Speaking about Rovers' dismal run of away form, Blizzard said: "We've got to regroup and fight for each other on the pitch and for everyone who travels.

"We have got to put in a good shift on Saturday and come back with three points."
