Lambert ended a six-game barren spell with a brace against Cheltenham
Bristol Rovers striker Rickie Lambert has said he will be fit for the weekend League One trip to Scunthorpe United.
Lambert, who has scored 20 league goals this term, has been struggling in recent weeks with a hip problem.
The 26-year-old picked up the knock in the win against Cheltenham and further damaged it against Southend.
"I should have said 'take me off' in that game but I didn't and I think I made it worse. It's now feeling a lot better," he told BBC Radio Bristol.
Lambert, who is still waiting on the results of a scan, is not fit for the midweek trip to Crewe.
But he is confident he will figure at the weekend as Rovers aim to make the most of their games in hand because of the bad weather.
"I still don't know the extent of the injury because I'm waiting for the results but each day it's feeling a lot, lot better and hopefully I'll be back sooner rather than later," he added.
"We've got a few games in hand and if we win them we're going to be in a very good position."
