Adebola's strike against Reading made it four goals in his last four games
Dele Adebola has urged his Bristol City team-mates to keep their feet on the floor after making the play-off places.
City made it eight wins from their last 10 games with a 2-0 win at Reading and are now fourth in the Championship.
"Everyone's buzzing, but we've got to put that to the back of our mind and plough on," he told BBC Radio Bristol.
"We've got the ability to stay there, it's just about applying ourselves. We've got a good enough squad to stay there in amongst the chasing six."
The Robins bounced back from a midweek defeat at in-form Doncaster with victory at third-placed Reading.
Adebola scored the opening goal before coming off after 68 minutes with an ankle knock that has been troubling him in recent weeks.
However, the 33-year-old is confident he will be 100% fit and able to help maintain City's promotion push by the time Blackpool visit Ashton Gate on Saturday.
"When you're winning games you've got to keep that mentality and not let your standards slip," added the striker, who has now scored four goals in his last four games.
"It's important for us not to get too excited because there's a number of teams in that mix and if we can get a few more points to distance ourselves from the lower end of it it will stand us in good stead."
