Elliott Bennett wants Glenn Murray to stay at Brighton
Bennett has already picked up a League One Player of the Year award
Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Elliott Bennett says he wants striker Glenn Murray to stay with the club.
Murray, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is the Seagulls' top scorer with 18 goals.
Bennett told BBC Sussex: "On his day he is unstoppable. This season he has been on his day more often than not.
"He seems really happy. Hopefully that will continue until the end of the season and the club can tie him down to a long contract."
At the start of the campaign, Brighton manager Gus Poyet set his strikers a target of scoring 20 goals, and Bennett is confident Murray will surpass that mark.
"Glenn is more than capable of doing it," Bennett said. "He hasn't taken penalties and he's still on 18 goals.
"We've got 12 games left and I'd back him to score another five or six. It would be fully deserved."
