Brighton and Hove Albion have signed their former loan striker Ashley Barnes from Plymouth Argyle on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old spent three months with the Seagulls at the end of last season, scoring four goals in eight games.
Barnes signed for Plymouth in 2008 but netted just twice in 22 appearances for the Home Park side.
He had spent much of his tenure out on loan on at Torquay, Salisbury City, Oxford United and Eastbourne.
