Howe worth Premier League approach - Mitchell

Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell says he is "100%" confident that manager Eddie Howe will lead the club in League One next season.

Howe kept the Cherries up last season and then got them promoted this year despite a transfer embargo.

At just 32, he is the youngest manager in the Football League.

Mitchell told BBC South: "Eddie is a good man and learning his trade. If I was one of the higher-division clubs, I'd certainly be looking at him."

He continued: "He's done it through hard work - not through luck or with money. He's usually the first one on the pitch and the last one off it.

"He's very mature and sensible. If I was a Premier League chairman, I'd be asking my chaps to go and see what they could pick him up for."

But when asked if Howe had a price, Mitchell said: "No, not at the moment."
