Baker takeover impatience grows

Paul Baker
Baker fell in love with Bournemouth after taking over as chairman

Bournemouth owner Paul Baker has told BBC Radio Solent he is concerned at the time it is taking to sell the club.

The Cherries majority shareholder outlined that a deal has been on the table for around three months.

A consortium headed by businessman Adam Murry with former chairman Jeff Mostyn is aiming to take over at Dean Court.

Baker admitted the delays have become unnerving, adding that 12 weeks is an adequate time for contracts to have been signed.

The club's original selling price has been dropped by 60% and Murry has been offered a chance to pay over six months in an effort to push the deal through.

Murry has already failed once in a bid to buy into the club at the start of the year.
