Bournemouth boss Kevin Bond hopes to hand a long-term deal to on-loan Peterborough keeper Shwan Jalal.
The 24-year-old has impressed the Cherries boss since joining the club on an initial one-month loan.
Bond told BBC Radio Solent: "He has done very well in his two games so far. He is very enthusiastic, he really wants to come here and I like that.
"I hope we have a long association, it is what I'd like to happen. It would be one less thing to worry about."
Jalal, who was born in Iraq, is set to make his third appearance for the club against Dorchester in a friendly at the Avenue Stadium.
Meanwhile, Chester City's Paul Rutherford and Portsmouth duo of Joel Ward and Matt Ritchie have been kept on trial.
But former Pompey striker Sammi Igoe has been released and is considering a move to Conference South side Havant and Waterlooville.
