Oxford's poor start to their Blue Square Premier campaign continued with a home defeat to Weymouth.

Terras' midfielder Stuart Beavon notched the decisive goal in the first half, collecting Chris McPhee's pass to score from 18 yards.

Beavon almost doubled Weymouth's lead with an acrobatic overhead effort from just outside the box.

Yemi Odubade had Oxford's best chance but his shot from the edge of the box was tipped over by Richard Bernard.
