Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has admitted the club face a battle to retain the services of DJ Campbell and Charlie Adam.
The pair made an immediate impact after joining the Seasiders on loan last season, but Holloway accepts finances may restrict their return.
"DJ's club Leicester have gone back up so his wages will go back up," he told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"And if he's demanding more it'll be nowhere near our price range."
Striker Campbell, 27, scored nine goals since joining Blackpool in January.
Adam, meanwhile, contributed two goals in 13 appearances since his arrival in February from Rangers.
But Holloway is unsure if the 23-year-old would be willing to return to Bloomfield Road.
"Whether they'd loan him out or whether he'd want to come to us, who knows?
"I understand he didn't really answer the question when asked at the Player of the Year awards and he was talking about other possible moves.
"We want people who want to be here and play for us and want to feel like supporters when they're out there.
"If you haven't got a lot of money you want to make sure you get the maximum out of your players. Anybody who doesn't show that I don't want."
