Bayliss was left frustrated during the January transfer window
Barrow joint-boss Dave Bayliss has said he could use the emergency loan window after failing to add to his squad before the transfer deadline.
"We spoke to players over the weekend and we are still waiting for answers," Bayliss told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"But we can use the emergency window when that kicks in next week so it would be nice to get some lads in to cover the injuries and suspensions."
The Bluebirds are refusing to reveal the identity of their targets.
Bayliss added: "Obviously being a non-league, part-time team it's harder for us to attract players but we've had contact with a few Football League players and we'll see what happens."
The Bluebirds were dealt a blow after Wayne Curtis was recalled by his parent club Morecambe, following a one-month loan stay at Holker Street.
"As I've said a few times this season, the standard of refereeing has not been up to what I was expecting."

"If we could have kept the loan signings we had, we would have had a hell of a squad," Bayliss said.
"But that's the nature of loan signings, I suppose. It's not about long-term prospects, it's about staying in this league and we will have to bring someone in for a month or two to help us."
Barrow are also set to be without midfielder Mark Boyd for three games after the he was dismissed for kicking a ball at an opponent during Saturday's 0-0 draw with Salisbury.
Bayliss commented: "The referee has classed it as violent conduct, the same punishment as if he has punched or headbutted someone.
"I think the people at the FA have to look at that, get their priorities right and make sense of these sending-offs.
"But, as I've said a few times this season, the standard of refereeing has not been up to what I was expecting."
Barrow are hopeful of beating the weather to stage their Setanta Shield quarter-final tie against Southport on Tuesday night.
"Southport are doing really well in their league so it's going to be a really tough game," Bayliss added.
"But there are no points at stake so there is a bit of pressure off the players."
